ELECTRONIC ATLAS OF ENERGY AND ECOLOGIC INDICATORS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR EURASIAN COUNTRIES

Abstract

This article discusses the possibility of creation of an electronic atlas of sustainable development’s energy and ecological indicators for the Eurasian countries based on the methodology of the International Scientific School of Sustainable Development. The rationale for indicators of sustainable development, showing the calculation rules, dimensions and units of measurement, is given. The results of calculation of basic and specific sustainable development indicators for 85 countries in the Eurasian space are provided, as well as examples of imaging using geographic information systems. The work was conducted as a part of RFBR project № 12-06-00286-a.
