Abstract

The article proposed a system analysis toolkit with respect to issues of natural and technospheric safety. A model of an open system, nature—society—man, regarding the influence of natural and man-made disasters, has been built. The regularity (pattern) in the occurrence of natural (external) catastrophes was revealed, the percentage ratios between the number of catastrophes (natural disaster system) and the number of dead and injured, economic damage (human society system) were established.

KEYWORDS: natural and technosphere safety, system analysis, sustainable development of territories, open systems.
