Abstract
This article presents an analytical review of the scientific discussions of the IX Russian Philosophical Congress (St. Petersburg, June 2026) in the context of sustainable development issues. The purpose of the study is to systematize the key ideas voiced at the congress and relate them to the challenges of transitioning to a biosphere-compatible model of civilizational development. It is shown that the concept of socio-biospheric development, developed by the Bryansk scientific and philosophical school, offers a theoretical justification for such a transition that is fundamentally different from the prevailing paradigm of «sustainable development.» The role of ergodesign as an applied tool for harmonizing the technosphere and biosphere at the level of the living environment is separately considered. A conclusion is drawn about the formation of a sustainable philosophical demand for the synthesis of noospheric ideas, the biospheric imperative, and a highly ergonomic living arrangement.
