Abstract

The article considers the concept of maternal (family) capital as a measure of state social support for families with children in our country, analyzes the conditions for providing payments under the legislation of the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to the message of the President, with whom he addressed the Federal Assembly on January 15, 2020, where Vladimir Vladimirovich proposes to introduce changes in the ratio of maternal (family) capital and not only. The article also provides an assessment of the effectiveness of maternal (family) capital in terms of stimulating fertility. In conclusion, a conclusion was drawn on the social significance of maternal (family) capital as an important institution, the purpose of which is to increase the demographic situation in the Russian Federation.
